I have been so tired this week. Physically tired. I think it's because I haven't been very disciplined in my bedtime and consequently in waking up at a healthy time. I need to get that figured out because it isn't God-glorifying. Feel free to ask me about it! I need some accountability here...
Anyways, a highlight for me this week was the ASL social that I went to. I'm currently taking my second ASL (American Sign Language) class and I love it! The deaf community at Clemson is really tight, and every week they have a social. I went Thursday night, and for the first time felt like I was really able to pick up on what was being said and communicate clearly. It was so fun!
I also have been able to form a relationship with these two, who are also members at Crosspoint. It has been really sweet to be able to fellowship with them on Sunday mornings.
My Fridays and Saturdays are wide open. It's been awesome. I'm thankful that the Lord ends up filling my days with fruitful activities so that I don't end up being at home all day.
My extrovert self can't handle that.
Friday I got to catch up with this old friend. He's graduating in May, which makes me feel super old. He's been a constant source of friendship and encouragement since 4th grade, and I'm so thankful.
I got to drink some of his hipster made coffee and take this not-so-candid picture.
Then I got to babysit these girls...oh how I love them!!
Saturday I went to help Stella practice for her interview again. I walked into the library and she looked like she hadn't slept in days. I could tell she was super stressed, so instead of continuing to stress herself out by thinking about programming, we sat outside, drank coffee and just talked. It rocked. We also had the privilege of Nabarjun seeing us and joining.
If you think about it, pray for Stella this week as she does some final preparation for her job interview, which is Feb. 26th!
Then, I got to celebrate Olivia! Her birthday is today, and so last night we partied and had a blast.
On the agenda: laser tag, go carts, Mexican food, ice cream, and a great dance party.
Living with Olivia has made me laugh harder and taught me more than I could ever imagine.
Happy Birthday lady!! I love you!
So that's week 7. Sorry for the longish post...I'm procrastinating writing a paper...ha.
Gotta love college.
