Top 7

I have failed miserably on the whole blogging thing this past semester. A lot happens in a semester of college. Instead of trying to blog about everything post Fall Getaway, I decided to just hit the highlights. So here's a top 7 from the rest of the semester (in no particular order).

1. Football

I love Clemson football so much, and as many of you know, this has been quite a season for the Tigers! We're undefeated and headed to the playoffs. The only complaint I have about this football season is all of the rainy games we endured, but even that made for some fun memories.

You really can't beat cheering on your undefeated Tigers with friends!

Mac got to take pictures on the field for the FSU game! She looked like such a pro...

We were pretty excited about the win against Florida State...

...and so was the rest of the student body.

This precious soul spent the weekend with me in Clemson and finally got to experience Death Valley.
It was sweet to spend time with her!

Just one more time...Go Tigers.

2. I surprised my mom for her birthday!

This woman means the world to me, so it was really fun to skip a class and surprise her.
Happy Birthday Mom...here's to being one year younger!

3. Fall for Greenville

The streets of Downtown Greenville were filled with food vendors from all over the area. This was the first year I'd ever gone but it was a ton of fun! I got to meet Matt's good friend Jennings, eat some Indian food (which I was craving) and ran into some friends! Which was surprising with the large amount of people in attendance...

4. Charleston

Wow this was SUCH a fun weekend. Katie (from my India team) was getting married in Charleston. Another girl from our India team, Heather, lives in Charleston, so (almost) our whole team went down a day or two before the wedding and hung out for the weekend.

It was good to catch up with the people from the team that I don't get to see very often.
I had a lot of new experiences that weekend, such as tubing in ocean water, carving a pumpkin, making really stinky shrimp patties and shrimping! I loved shrimping...I caught one my first try!

It was such a joy watching this beautiful girl get married!

5. International Events

a. Bollywood Night

This night is probably one that I will look back on while reminiscing about college and claim as a favorite.

It. Was. Awesome.

Bollywood is basically Indian Hollywood. Some of the guys went to Greenville where they picked up  samosas and biryani, and then some of the Indian students at Clemson brought their own homemade items. We all enjoyed a delicious meal together and then watched a Bollywood movie called "3 Idiots". It was three hours long, and I was totally engaged the entire time...it was so good!

When I didn't think the night could get any better, a spontaneous dance party erupted where I learned some new moves.

I love Bollywood. I hope we have another night like this real soon.

b. Hot Pot

Another favorite event of mine!
We had the first Hot Pot night last year around this time and the second one went off wonderfully. Both times I've walked away full and happy.

6. Thanksgiving Break

How I love going home...and this time Stella came with me!
We hung out, did some henna, and she went Black Friday shopping for the first time. She got some incredible deals too...I love her so very much and am incredibly thankful the Lord put her in my life!

7. Jenna got engaged!!!

That's right...Daniel popped the question and put a ring on it and any other cliche you can think of. He didn't tell me, which I was pretty mad about, but to be honest it was probably wise on his part.

I walked in from a soccer game and next thing I know Jenna is putting this gorgeous diamond ring in my face. I immediately started crying. This is the first time I'm close friends with both the bride and groom-to-be. I'm so excited for these friends and the glory that God is going to receive from their marriage!

Some other miscellaneous things that happened this semester include a shag in downtown Greenville with Matt, Thanksgiving fellowship, brick painting by the lake while watching the sunset with Kathleen, a day spent in Greenwood with Matt, mahendi with friends, and dancing the night away at moonlight breakfast where my friend won a segway.

Overall, this semester was a good one, and I'm thankful for it.
